Sarah and Jeffrey’s gorgeous creekside mountain wedding

When Sarah first reached out to me about helping with the decor for her wedding, I have to admit I was over the moon. Brown Mountain Beach Resort is one of those venues that wedding dreams are made of - before you even set foot inside the almost 100 year old beautiful mountain cabin turned venue, you are met with fresh mountain air, the sound of the creek rolling through out back, and some of the most gorgeous natural views the NC Appalachian has to offer. The venue itself is a two story structure with natural wood and stone elements, a huge fireplace, the original tavern downstairs, and more built-in character than you could ask for. What a pleasure to be able to dress a place like this up! Sarah wanted a modern rustic take on 1920’s elegance, with draped fabric, loads of candlelight, gold elements, and a hint of a deco vibe. A tall order, but it was such a dream to deliver the space you see below. Sarah and Jeffrey were just the sweetest, and while I wish I could have gotten to know them better as a couple, it was an honor to be able to work with Sarah throughout her planning process.
